“NRF’s success largely comes from the thousands of retail companies we advocate for and who support us, and we are honored to share this with them,” said NRF president and CEO Matthew Shay. “We’d like to thank our members and guests for sharing in this special 100th anniversary of retail’s Big Show.” ??
In the proclamation, Mayor Bloomberg recognized the impact NRF’s convention has on the New York City economy, this year expecting to bring in $27.4 million in economic impact, according to NYC & Co. Additionally, the proclamation acknowledges the deep-rooted history of NRF, having begun as the Dry Goods Association and now known as the world’s largest retail advocacy group.
