Everstream Analytics, the global supply chain insights and risk analytics software company, announced today the acquisition of BlueNode.
BlueNode automates the enrichment of intermodal logistic data with an AI-powered cleansing and integration engine that helps streamline logistics and facilitates carbon emission measurement and reporting. BlueNode aligns the flow of information with the flow of goods to deliver improved data transparency, reliability, and availability, powering confidence that underpins time-sensitive strategic decision-making.
Everstream Analytics provides companies today with n-tier visibility, ongoing risk monitoring, and predictive supply chain intelligence. With the acquisition, Everstream will extend these insights to include the ability to make strategic decisions on maritime carbon mitigation that balances shipping time, expense and environmental impact. BlueNode’s capabilities, refined in partnership with maritime port authorities, will enable improved data quality in the expansive, fragmented, upstream market of shippers, carriers, 3PLs, customs brokers and transportation marketplaces, as well as downstream intermodal partners. For the public sector, BlueNode solutions enable government agencies to aggregate often disparate data from varied sources to inform trade compliance, public health, and economic policy.
“We’re committed to helping companies run the most efficient, resilient supply chains in the world, while making meaningful progress on their sustainability targets,” said Julie Gerdeman, CEO of Everstream. “As the only provider offering true end-to-end visibility and risk management across planning, procurement, and logistics, we help companies build lasting supply chain sustainability. Shipment visibility is key to understanding critical relationships and the flow of goods around the world.”
Everstream Discover helps companies navigate compliance, choose more sustainable suppliers, and create resilient supply chains, while a dedicated applied meteorology team helps inform strategic supply chain planning based on long-term climate predictions. BlueNode’s ability to measure the carbon emission baseline and conduct continuous monitoring and analytics on sustainable operations of trade corridors (e.g., CO2e and other monitoring), in its present form and as it grows, is a natural extension of Everstream’s commitment to making supply chains faster, smarter, leaner, and more sustainable.
Through the acquisition, Everstream now provides:
• Enhanced understanding of vessel performance and analytics, port call optimization, and end-to-end cargo visibility with port operations data.
• Automation of maritime shipping data cleansing from bills of lading, customs declarations and other documents in EDI, XML, spreadsheet, and paper submissions, reducing a labor-intensive and error-prone process.
• Accurate measurement of carbon and Scope 3 emissions from ports, terminal operators, maritime and rail carriers, shippers, and trade authorities.
• Insights to reveal and diagnose anomalies in trade data, including counterfeit, fraud, or dangerous goods violations.
