Resilience. Flexibility. AI. Workforce. We talk about these themes constantly—but few companies are as intentional in connecting the dots as Schneider Electric.
Agustin Lopez Diaz, North American supply chain officer at Schneider Electric joined the Talking Supply Chain podcast to discuss Schneider Electric’s approach to its North American supply chain.
“We are investing roughly 700 million dollars of additional investment through 2027 to really expand our capability and take advantage of the manufacturing renaissance going on in North America,” Lopez Diaz said.
For Schneider, the “power of two” is an important factor in ensuring its supply chain meets customer expectations.
“For any given line, that's important to our customers and that is important to our business,” Lopez Diaz said. “We normally set up a duplicate line somewhere else in the world or within the region. We call that power of two.”
Lopez Diaz also dove into Schneider Electric’s approach to automation, how it is deploying artificial intelligence, and what the biggest challenges it faces are and how it is working to overcome them.
