ProcureAbility is a provider of procurement services, offering advisory, managed services, digital, staffing and recruiting solutions in the procurement space. The acquisition gives Jabil a footprint in the procurement sector, allowing it to offer a more complete line of services to its customer base.

“Together we’re revolutionizing the procurement landscape and how we deliver solutions to organizations to help them drive transformative change and create value,” said Frank McKay, chief supply chain and procurement officer at Jabil.

Terms were not disclosed.

Founded more than 25 years ago, ProcureAbility has been supporting companies in their procurement processes ever since, offering strategy and procurement transformation services, managed services such as category management support and sourcing execution, and digital solutions including analytics-as-a-service and spend and market intelligence analytics. It also offers staffing and recruiting services to help businesses scale their procurement departments as needed.

“We are excited to join the Jabil team to deliver enhanced, world-class procurement services to a global client base, backed by the strength and resources of an organization known for its supply chain expertise and procurement practices,” said Conrad Snover, CEO of ProcureAbility. “This union between two industry leaders, both keenly focused on delivering service excellence, comes at an opportune time as ProcureAbility continues to experience rapid growth and Jabil looks to meet the high demand from clients for expertise in procurement services.”

A recent report from supply chain consultancy Capterra found companies now recognize the need to include supply chain managers (SCM) in executive-level planning discussions.

“To meet these changes, businesses need to shift from strategies that prioritize cost reduction and efficiency to those that center around the customer. This will involve elevating the role of supply chain management from a ‘back of the house’ execution-only focused department to a strategic partner with a seat at the senior leadership table,” the firm said in the report.

Part of that process includes procurement. Jabil already offers procurement managed services, but the addition of ProcureAbility expands that expertise and offers growth opportunities to ProcureAbility through the large global customer base of Jabil.

Jabil offers market intelligence, consulting and managed services with more than $29 billion in spend and relationships with 36,000 global suppliers. The company reported net revenue of $8.5 billion on net revenue of $34.7 billion for its Fiscal Year 2023, which ended on Aug. 31.

ProcureAbility will continue to operate independently.
