The Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) has introduced a new supply chain credential for those looking toward supply chain transformations.
The APICS Certified in Transformation for Supply Chain (CTSC) credential will equip supply chain professionals responsible for driving transformation with a collected group of best practices, knowledge, skills, and abilities to initiate and enact supply chain transformation, the organization said in a release.
“The past few years of significant disruptions to the global supply chain has proven to supply chain leaders across industries the importance of staying on top of their skills to be prepared for future crises as well as be ready to realign their businesses,” said ASCM Executive Vice President, Product & Services Lisa Sallstrom, MS, CAE, PMP. “Holders of the CTSC credential will be able to gain a competitive advantage in the market by demonstrating their understanding of supply chain transformation frameworks and best practices.”
The credential leverages components of ASCM’s globally recognized standards, including SCOR DS, Enterprise Standards for Sustainability, and the Digital Capabilities Model to:

• Identify risks and opportunities, and select the appropriate philosophies frameworks, models, and approaches to effect transformation.
• Apply systems thinking to develop, analyze, verify, and validate concept alternatives for transformation.
• Identify tools and technologies to enable effective supply chain transformation.
Upon successful completion of the CTSC program, individuals will have the knowledge to help improve their company’s competitive position and profitability by shifting operations to a more value focused, cross-functional model.
The program is geared toward mid-level professionals supporting or executing supply chain transformation within their organization CTSC pricing is dependent on ASCM membership type. Learners must pass the 150-question exam before earning their CTSC credentials.
