Supply Chain Management Review has published a series of articles from Norman Katz, president of Katzscan Inc. a supply chain technology and operations consultancy that specializes in vendor compliance, ERP, EDI, and barcode applications.

Katz is a regular columnist for SCMR and is one of our Visionaries contributors. He initially conceived the idea for the Perfect Order series based on research he had previously conducted. The article series is designed to create a comprehensive look at how to create the Holy Grail of supply chain: The Perfect Order.

Individually, each article presents a topic, such as barcodes, getting the product or quantity right, and even addressing customer rights. They are based on Dr.  Edward J. Marien’s Customer’s Bill of Rights, first introduced in 2005. Katz takes these basics and updates the definitions to apply to supply chains of today. Collectively, they offer a look at all the steps involved in perfecting that Perfect Order.

There is also bonus content for many of the articles. Presented as an “Explainer,” these articles offer a deeper look at the concept presented in the related Perfect Order article.

Originally conceived by Norman Katz as the basis of a potential book, Katz has offered the content to Supply Chain Management Review to publish as a series of articles that, when taken collectively, will paint the picture of how supply chains can find the Holy Grail of The Perfect Order.

Below you will find a a link to each article in the series along with its corresponding Explainer article. The entire article series can be found on our Perfect Order special section here.
