MIT CTL Delivers MicroMasters Program to GE Employees

The MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics (MIT CTL) is providing MIT CTL's ground-breaking MITx MicroMasters Credential in Supply Chain Management courses to employees in GE's Operations Management Leadership Program.

The first course in the five-course, on-line program, CTL.SC0x Supply Chain Analytics, kicked-off with a special session to familiarize learners with the program. This “live event” is offered to companies such as GE that are corporate partners of the center.

Thirty-five GE employees are taking the MicroMasters course in this initial run. As Verified students, they gain full access to MicroMasters classes and on-line teaching materials as well as extra materials that are supplemental to the standard content.

In addition, GE can request customized versions of MicroMasters courses that are tailored to the company's specific educational needs.

This is the first time that MIT CTL has partnered with a company to provide MicroMasters in this way, and the center is talking with several other enterprises to develop similar programs.

MIT CTL's executive educational offerings include custom in-person programs that provide both in-class and on-line classes, and custom on-line programs based on MicroMasters content.
