Women’s apparel supplier Adore Me has been designated a Certified B Corporation. The company says “achieving a B Corporation Certification demonstrates that we are joining other leaders in the global movement for an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy. In addition, Adore Me is the only B Corporation Certified lingerie brand based in the United States.”
The certification is made by B Lab, a nonprofit network that conducts an assessment of a company’s performance across five major categories: community, customers, environment, governance, and workers. It encourages companies like Adore Me to really reflect on the impact of every single part of its business. Part of the assessment that’s taken into account is who a company works with and how it works with them.
Adore Me’s overall impact is 107.1. A score of 80 qualifies a company for B certification. The median score for all businesses that complete the assessment is 50.9.
