In this episode of The Rebound, Chris Richard, principal in the Supply Chain and Network Operations practice at Deloitte Consulting, discusses the digital supply network, a new way to think about the SCOR model in a digital age. ASCM CEO Abe Eshkenazi and SCMR Editorial Director Bob Trebilcock are hosts.
We’ve all heard the saying: The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. The traditional supply chain model operates in a straight line – from manufacturing through to final mile deliver and returns, processes were sequential, logical and linear. New digital technologies and capabilities call for a new strategy, what Richard and his colleagues at Deloitte are calling a Digital Supply Network, or DSN. It’s a different way to think of the SCOR model that has served the industry well.
On this episode of The Rebound, Chris Richard joins hosts Abe Eshkenazi and Bob Trebilcock.to discuss this new supply chain model, the role of digital technologies and how the DSN model can transform your operations.
