Back in 2015, Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum popularized the term the 4th Industrial Revolution. But what is the 4th Industrial Revolution? According to Schwab, because of advancing technologies, humanity stood, and I quote, “on the brink of a technological revolution that will fundamentally alter the way we live, work and relate to one another.” End quote.
Like the previous industrial revolutions – the transition from hand production methods to machines that ushered in the first industrial revolution, to the technological revolution in the late 1800s that enabled the building of our extensive railroad and telegraph networks, and the third industrial revolution that we know today as the digital revolution that occurred in the late 20th century, the fourth industrial revolution promises to change society.
This revolution is being powered by artificial intelligence. And chances are pretty good you are already feeling the impacts AI is having in your lives, on your jobs, and even your relationships.
Erhan Musaoglu, CEO and founder of Logiwa Technology, a supply chain software company with a focus on warehouses, joined Talking Supply Chain host Brian Straight to discuss how AI is revolutionizing warehouses.
