The world’s supply chains have been through a lot over the last few years, and organizations are working to both solve for the now and plan for the future—all within the context of continued supply chain disruptions, a critical labor shortage and an ongoing global pandemic.

“We’re on the cusp of a phase transition in global supply chains,” says Jay Koganti, VP of supply chain COE at The Estée Lauder Companies, Inc. A digital supply chain transformation leader and sustainability advocate, Koganti is presenting a keynote that highlight’s the role that artificial intelligence (AI) will play in transforming the world’s supply chains from “fragile” to “agile.”

“The new imperative is building resilient, agile future supply chains on the foundation of efficiency, sustainability and social equity,” says Koganti. “AI technologies will play a pivotal role in this transformation opportunity.” In this presentation, Koganti will discuss the long-term outlook for supply chain challenges, the key pivots that all organizations need to make and how AI will help them get there.

“Everyone is aware of the current supply chain challenges and in my view, most of these challenges will stay in some form and shape in the coming decade due to the global macroeconomic outlook, structural shift in geopolitics and the unfolding climate challenges,” Koganti says. “The question is, how can we better anticipate these challenges and prepare for the new reality to keep running supply chains to deliver on customer promises? That’s where AI comes in.”
