The supply chain has become increasingly data-dependent, but many firms still struggle with how to measure that data effectively.
When it comes to employee development, though, measuring knowledge is as easy as looking at the certification one holds. The data tells us that professionals earning supply chain certifications make more money—thousands more—than those without advanced education.
In the 2022 Peerless Research Group’s “Compensation & Executive Education Study,” released last August, those that participated in formal supply chain education reported earning an average salary of $146,915 per year compared to $142,250 for those without formal training.
The data is clear—education matters in the supply chain. That’s why certifications and executive education matter, to employees and management alike. It’s also why organizations are making it easier than ever to offer programs, with in-person, online and hybrid options readily available.
