Long-Term Survival & Competitiveness – New Research (Part 3)
Another factor linked to an organization’s health is employee morale.
With regard to employee morale:
• Approximately 40% of all respondents indicated that morale of their top management was Fair or Not Good.
• Approximately 50% of all respondents indicated that morale of their middle management was Fair or Not Good.
• Approximately 60% of all respondents indicated that morale of their non-supervisory personnel was Fair or Not Good.
The study found a clear link between an organization’s “BTO score” (the ratings by its employees across all nine BTO principles), and employee morale. See the Figure below showing Middle Management morale plotted against the BTO principles.
