Recommended Reading: World Out of Balance
January 11, 2008

One of the areas in need of attention in most companies is risk assessment and risk management. Unfortunately, there are relatively few well-written books for the busy executive on this subject. An exception: World Out of Balance: Navigating Global Risks to Seize Competitive Advantage, by Paul Laudicina.

World Out of Balance highlights emerging trends and scenarios that are possible for the future business environment. It also offers comprehensive analyses of five strategic drivers that are shaping the evolving environment, and provides useful risk-mapping techniques for use in your own company.

If risk and opportunity management is part of your role, or if you anticipate it will become part of your responsibilities in the future, I recommend that you read World Out of Balance.
