Long-Term Survival & Competitiveness – New Research (Part 2)

One of the factors linked to any organization’s health is employee retention.

With regards to employee retention, more than half of all respondents in the new study say their organizations have employee retention problems. There was, however, an interesting disparity: Approximately 40% of top management rates their organizations’ employee retention as “fair” or “not good.” That percentage rose to greater than 60% for all other levels of respondent.

The study found a clear link between an organization’s “BTO score” (the ratings by its employees across all nine BTO principles), and employee retention. See the Figure below.
