University of Arkansas to evaluate “global supply chains in an Ayn Rand world”

image The 10th Annual Supply Chain Management Research Center Spring Conference, co-hosted by the Ozark Roundtable of the CSCMP, will take place on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 7:15 AM - 4:00 PM at the Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. The conference is an educational outreach initiative that generates funding for student activities.

About the Conference

In 1957 Ayn Rand wrote a fictional novel, Atlas Shrugged, where individual creativity and the pursuit of profit were being attacked by both society and government. Now, some 50 years later, the Ayn Rand Institute exists to counter the anti-capitalism, anti-freedom trends of today’s culture. Please join us as Dr. Yaron Brook, President and Executive Director of the Ayn Rand Institute, kicks off a day of exploring how country policies, politics, trade barriers, and logistics networks both limit and espouse global free trade.
