Sales and Operations Planning
June 01, 2012
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) continues to be an area of active interest for companies. S&OP is a top focus for companies with 48% of respondents indicating an increased focus in 2011 (Chief Supply Chain Officer Survey, January 2011).
In this benchmark report, we look at the responses from over 127 organizations from June and July 2011 to uncover the latest innovations in S&OP processes and technologies. Fifty-three percent (53%) of companies indicate that S&OP is considered as a secondary process and not a business management process in their organization. In addition, 60% of companies indicate that they don’t have enough S&OP related training programs for employees.
These are challenges that need to be overcome to ensure change management and process sustainability.
