Supply Chain Management Review’s NextGen Supply Chain Awards will celebrate five companies taking the lead on supply chain innovation using NextGen supply chain technologies—those technologies that will shape tomorrow's supply chains.

Winners from each Category

“As the editor of SCMR, I’m proud to recognize these industry leaders for the strides they have made in the adoption of NextGen technologies,” said Bob Trebilcock, editorial director. “This year’s awards also set the stage for what will be an annual competition.” Trebilcock added that John Santagate, IDC’s research director for service robots, played an integral role in the selection of this year’s winners.

In addition to receiving the awards, representative from each of the companies will take part in an End User Award Panel on April 16th moderated by Bob Trebilcock and John Santagate.

Award Panelists:

Eric Douglas, EVP Technology and Engineering, Geodis
Tom Ward, A.I. Project Leader, IBM
Vineet Sinha, Director and Product General Manager, Connected Equipment and Service, Johnson Controls
Justin Ha, Director, Solutions Design, DHL
Daren Mallard, Sr. Manager, Marketing Strategy & Business, Cisco Systems Inc.

About NextGen Supply Chain Conference

The two-day conference will take place at the iconic Chicago Athletic Association, now a top-rated hotel, on April 16-17 and feature educational sessions and a small booth exhibit. More than 200 senior-level supply chain, operations, procurement and corporate executives will attend the inaugural event on downtown Chicago's Magnificent Mile.

Both days of the conference will offer high-level sessions on AI, robotics and Big Data tailored for CEOs, chief supply chain officers, vice presidents and directors of operations as well as procurement sourcing executives. In short, anyone with a leadership stake in the future of the supply chain.

Don't expect to hear theory or basic explanations of these key technologies, explains Trebilcock. “All 19 members of our advisory board members are living NextGen technologies each day. They range from practitioners and suppliers to industry experts, academics and consultants. And the conference lineup reflects what they see as important day-to-day in the emerging supply chain of the future.”
