Oro, Inc., the creator of OroCommerce, a popular ecommerce platform designed for B2B merchants, today announced a global partnership with Bolloré Logistics, one of the world's largest logistics and transportation providers with over 11,000 employees.

Bolloré Logistics operates LINK, a collaborative platform designed to integrate all parts of the supply chain via web, mobile, EDI and API. Its scope includes order management, inventory, distribution and international transportation for major multichannel companies which is used by over 5300 customers per month.

In the new partnership, Bolloré is working with OroCommerce to provide its international customers with what they describe as a “robust ecommerce capability that is fully integrated with its global logistics platform.”

The partnership with OroCommerce was driven to augment Bolloré's wide-ranging global logistic network by providing merchants with a holistic, user-friendly, feature-rich ecommerce system.

In an interview with LM, one executive described how the deal came together:

“Bollore Logistics came to us looking for an ecommerce solution that would complement their internal 3PL platform,” said Motti Danino, chief operating officer of Oro, Inc. “We've been working with the Bollore Logistics team for the past four months to design an end-to-end solution that we can take to market on a global basis.”

Both companies expect the combined solution to open new markets and be rapidly adopted by enterprise organizations. A global fashion house in the luxury sector, a longtime Bolloré client, is already using OroCommerce for improved ecommerce sales, automation and operational efficiency.

“The global B2B ecommerce market will reach $6.7 trillion by 2020,” said Frédéric Serra, director of solutions at Bolloré Logistics. “Our partnership with OroCommerce is part of our long-term strategy to prioritize technology innovation that solves our clients' modern business challenges.”

“We are honored to be partnering with Bolloré, a world leader in the logistics and supply chain space,” said Yoav Kutner, Oro’s cofounder and CEO. “The integration of our feature-rich, flexible ecommerce solution with a global logistic platform is a natural fit that creates a best-of-breed offering, and it helps merchants deliver a superior customer experience.”
