QVC Inc. has chosen to use a product provided by supply chain software manufacturer Quintuq to streamline scheduling and planning, according to a release from Quintiq.
The software company said QVC will be using Quintiq's Multi-Resource Scheduling (MRS) product to organize and track broadcasting resources. The ultimate goal, according to Quintiq, is to reduce time spent on scheduling and increase transparency.
"Our broadcast operations demand flexibility in scheduling to accommodate last minute and short-term changes. Quintiq's MRS solution offers an abundance of management information, deployment analyses, and availability and planning trends, which results in greater control and efficiency," said Monica Justice, vice president of media logistics and production at QVC.
According to Quintiq, QVC can use the new software to give schedulers access to "the same real-time data regarding studios, equipment, available personnel, vehicles and current shoots."
In addition, resources will be available in one centralized location. Quintiq expects QVC will be able to eliminate double booking and over booking, as well as manage staff scheduling issues.
