RFID continues to boom in China
Technology Briefing -- Supply Chain Management Review, 2/28/2008 7:28:00 AM
According to a report from Venture Development Corp. (VDC), companies and governmental bodies in China deployed 475 million RFID transponders in 2007. And more growth is expected over the coming four to five years. VDC expects growth to come from two critical initiatives as well as dozens of smaller actions. The two large initiatives include the Chinese government’s authorization of RFID usage on UHF band, and the adoption of the ISO 18000-6c standard. The total RFID market in China was $336 million in 2007. VDC expects RFID growth to average 31 percent per year for the next three years.Talkback
