7 Traits of a Green Supply Chain

Want to get a prime seat on the “green” bandwagon? Leading green companies define themselves with one or more of these seven traits.

It is an interesting time for an analyst to be covering the green supply chain. From virtually nowhere a year ago, organizations are now bombarded about their “green” performance. Investors want to know that your organization and supply chain is green. Shareholders, employees, and customers likewise are eager to be associated with or purchase from a green company. To top everything off, Walmart followed suit and expanded on the moves of numerous European retailers in August by announcing long-term expectations that not just suppliers, but also their entire product portfolio must be environmentally labeled or the retail giant won't use them.
